Growing Hearts, Building Faith

Ages: Infants through 5th Grade

The Children's Ministry at Grace Community is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of children in a joyful, safe, and age-appropriate environment. We believe every child is created with purpose, and our goal is to plant seeds of faith that will flourish throughout their lives.

Sunday Programs

  • Nursery (0–23 months) — A loving, secure space staffed by trained caregivers. All volunteers are background-checked and CPR certified.

  • Toddlers (2–3 years) — Bible stories told through puppets, songs, and sensory play. Each week focuses on one simple truth: God made me, God loves me, Jesus is my friend.

  • Preschool (4–5 years) — Interactive storytelling, crafts, and worship songs. Kids learn foundational Bible stories and begin memorizing Scripture through music and movement.

  • Elementary (K–5th grade) — Large-group teaching with video, drama, and worship, followed by small-group discussion with trained leaders. Curriculum follows a 3-year cycle covering the full Bible narrative.

Wednesday Night Kids' Club

Midweek programming includes dinner together at 6:00 PM, followed by Bible lessons, games, and special activities like science nights, cooking classes, and service projects. This is a great entry point for kids in the community who don't attend on Sundays.

Special Events

  • Vacation Bible School — One week each June for ages 4 through 5th grade

  • Family Worship Sunday — First Sunday of every month, kids worship with their families

  • Christmas Pageant — Annual children's performance during the December Family Worship Sunday

  • Summer Camp Partnership — Discounted registration for Camp Pinecrest, our partner Christian camp

Safety & Security

We use a secure digital check-in system with matching parent/child tags. All volunteers complete background checks, child safety training, and follow our two-adult policy. Our children's spaces are monitored and access-controlled.

Volunteer

We need caring adults and teens (8th grade+) to serve as teachers, small group leaders, nursery helpers, and check-in team members. Training is provided. Contact Maria at children@gracecommunity.org.
